Intro
Welcome to the Delete News Page
‘Black Is White’ and ‘Everything You Know Is Wrong’. Nowhere does this ring truer than in the world of digital media where the rules are constantly shifting and evolving – in fact there are no rules!

The growing impact of the web has really turned how we communicate on its head - black really is now white. The audience has moved from passive to active, from limited choice to total access. Predictable patterns have been replaced with wider repertoires and brands have to think harder and act faster.

How do we help our clients tap in? One answer is what we term ‘Before the Brand Marketing’. It’s no longer just about the brand; it’s about the space before the brand. It is where your audience is engaging with media and each other. You can entertain them in this space and then leave the door open for them to engage with your brand.

It’s all very exciting and will see the rise of digital agencies (like Delete) creating more effective and compelling content to draw and engage their clients’ desired audiences. It’s a win/win situation as the audience gets more entertaining content and the advertisers get more audience share. Advertising is driving some of the best content on-line and audiences are actually now seeking this content out.

Anyway, it’s been a while since we last spoke and Delete has been steadily growing. Read below to find out a little more of what we’ve been up to.

Before The Brand Marketing: BaByliss

They say sometimes it’s better to whisper in the right ears rather than shout to all. Shouting can sound a bit desperate anyway. Considering the space before the brand, as with our work for Virgin Atlantic, allows you to tap into your audience more effectively. BaByliss have appointed Delete, embracing this space. Look out for more details later in the summer.

We are also supporting the launch of a number of products with product microsites (pictured). To find out more take a look at:

Stag & Dove
Exclusive ‘Video to Video’ Dating/Community Website
Stag & Dove

Everything we know about online dating is wrong. The connotations of the desperate, ‘last chance saloon’ aren’t helped by the fact most dating sites look awful.

In response we have created a social network with a difference, something that actually looks great and allows members to communicate via one-on-one video chat. What you see is what you get.

This really is a dating site for people who don’t date online, but want to hang out, meet people and engage a more authentic real way. The BETA site is up and running and we are giving away a few free memberships if you ask nicely.

We live in a world where nothing ever stands still for long, new trends keep evolving and emerging online. Delete’s clients have been benefiting from our view on the world - those trends that influence and how we talk to an audience.

Hot topics have recently been - the space before the brand, strategies that take social influence into account, amplification through word of mouth, super users and super fans (giving them a platform to rise to the top), beyond viral marketing, tapping in to social networks, Branded Generated Content (BGC) versus User Generated Content (UGC) and focusing on detection, measurement and feedback.

Fancy a chat with our Creative Director Damon? He can tell you all about the virtues of the digital world as the latest and possibly greatest storytelling medium to emerge since the television.

With it’s ‘multiple media applications’; the ability to tell a story and craft an experience has never been greater. For Damon the web is about capturing attention, rewarding that attention with a rich and valuable experience - then beginning a relationship that will last over time. He creates experiences on-line that people want to engage with.

Though we do have a word of warning - if you choose to pop in for a coffee, he has gone into character for a male grooming campaign and developed a substantially thick beard. I think they call it method acting or is it method directing! Either way we think he is just playing up.
