The Delete Playlist 2007

Posted 18 Dec 2007

Despite the occasional groans from our neighbours here in 'Temporary office space central' we've just about managed to keep our studio speakers turned on for the past couple of months. (Age old traditions never die)

As you probably know we've doubled our work force this year which has meant a new array of musical tastes arriving through the door.

From Spain - David has kept us grooving with some of the filthiest, darkest electronic beats we've heard in a while. Robbie and Roxanne's ability to keep their ear to the 'underground' has meant we haven't missed out on any of the the latest - "trend setting, post new rave, indie crossover, shenanigans"

From Poland - Barthosz has single-handedly managed to revive euphoric Trance music from the forgotten late 90s, however we are in the process of beating this out of him. ; )

Austria hasn't been forgotten either with Simon treating us to some twisted minimal tech house.

Special thanks to Matt for introducing us to the Klaxons, CSS, Digitalism, Datarock, Chromeo, Justice, Simian Mobile Disco. (Just kidding - we know you hate it, shame everyone else loves it.)

Congratulations to Chromeo for causing the biggest love / hate divide of a single album in the history of Delete!

All in all it's definitely been a more varied playlist this year - spanning all genres and generations including Indie, Folk, Country, Pop, New Rave, Techno, House, Drum n Bass, Jazz, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90's - we've even spun some Kylie...
